    Houston Austin, of Sparta, was recently named the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Director for Motlow State Community College. Prior to this new role, he served as the EMT/AEMT Coordinator for the College.

    Motlow State Community College is seeking adjunct instructors. Motlow recruits talented and effective educators as adjuncts. The College hosted a virtual adjunct recruitment event in early June. Collaboration between Academic Affairs and External Affairs resulted in approximately 300 potential applicants registered.

    The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) recently announced its annual Regents' Award for Excellence in Philanthropy and Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Philanthropy. Nominated by Motlow State Community College, the Town of Smyrna was named as one of four Regent's Award winners; and Dr. Sam H. Ingram, Motlow's first president, was named among the 13 Chancellor's Award winners.

    Carole Garrison Memorial Nursing Scholarship Established

    The Carole Garrison Memorial Nursing Scholarship has been established at Motlow State Community College by her family and friends to honor Carole's dedication and service in the nursing field. Garrison was a 1981 graduate of Motlow's nursing program.

    High school students across middle Tennessee are graduating with associate degrees from Motlow State Community College before they ever even receive their high school diplomas. Motlow has more high school Dual Enrollment students than any college in Tennessee.

    JC Williams: Awarded the Department of Defense SMART Scholarship

    I began my education at Motlow State Community College as a dual enrollment student during my junior year at Franklin County High School. I was recently awarded the Department of Defense Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation Scholarship (SMART).

    Motlow State's Gold Award for Print Ad Series from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations. The College was bestowed multiple awards this Spring.
