Psychology

Study human behavior and the science of the mind and specialize in Psychology at Motlow State Community College. 

Earn either an Associate of Science (A.S.) or an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree at Motlow. Both options are Tennessee Transfer Pathways (TTPs). TTPs enable you to complete your degree at Motlow and transfer to any Tennessee public university, and several Tennessee private universities, to complete your bachelor’s degree. 

Psychology is a fascinating field of study where you gain insight into the complex inner workings of the human mind. The Psychology concentration at Motlow provides you with an introduction into the study of human mental and behavioral characteristics. 

Many jobs in the psychology field require a bachelor’s degree or higher. Earning an associate degree at Motlow can lead to promising careers as psychiatric technicians and aides, and social and human services assistants, among other opportunities.

Many psychology students join Psi Beta, a national honor society.
