Electric Vehicle Engineering Technology

Steer your career in the right direction with Motlow State’s upcoming Electric Vehicle Engineering Technology Program! This program combines cutting-edge, new-age technology with a classic industry that has been improving travel for decades. As the production of electric vehicles increases to create a more sustainable travel option, top-notch companies like Nissan, General Motors, Volkswagen, and Ford will need you to keep them running. Motlow is among the first schools to offer a program like this in the state of Tennessee.

The EVET Program is an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) that teaches regenerative braking, high voltage battery systems, steering suspension, control circuits, and electric propulsion. An AAS degree allows for immediate transfer to the workforce upon graduation, which means that further collegiate education is not required. Students who enroll in this program will also be able to earn built-in credentials in the Mechatronics 1310 and 2320 classes.

The Associate of Applied Science in Electric Vehicle Engineering Technology is pending approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
