Motlow ARTC partners with WESCO to offer Industry Certifications

Motlow State’s Automation & Robotics Training Center (ARTC) is partnering with the WESCO’s Nashville branch to provide industry certifications in Siemens TIA, as well as customized training applications.

The ARTC, next to Motlow’s campus in McMinnville, is a corporate certified training facility offering industry-recognized certifications in Robotics and Automation.

WESCO’s Nashville branch provides and supports machine automation systems and technologies along with complimentary products such as VFDs, motor controls, and power distribution systems. WESCO is classified by Siemens as an Elite level, Premier Siemens Technology Center.

WESCO Automation Specialist Chad Garner will serve as Guest Trainer at the ARTC. Currently scheduled classes include:

  • Sept. 28 – Siemens TIA Programming 1
  • Nov. 2 - Siemens TIA Programming 2
  • Jan. 4, 2021 - Siemens TIA Programming 1
  • Feb. 1 - Siemens TIA Programming 2
  • Mar. 22 - Siemens TIA Programming 1

Garner is a Siemens Certified Applications Engineer with 15 years of experience working with Siemens in Middle Tennessee. He is certified in Siemens Automation, HMI, Drives, and Networking. He uses his real-world experiences combined with his knowledge of Siemens products when instructing Siemens classes.

Motlow’s ARTC is an authorized training facility for the world’s leading robotics and automation equipment manufacturers. Workers can receive industry-recognized certification for high-demand skills in a little as one week. The facility also provides customized training to meet unique industry needs and hands-on lab space for students pursuing degrees in Mechatronics with a concentration in robotics and automation. Mechatronics, automation, and robotics skills are in such great demand that Motlow offers eligible Middle Tennessee high school juniors full scholarships (including books, fees, and eligible travel costs) to pursue Mechatronics degree programs.
