Motlow State Offers Program for Adult Learners

April 16, 2024

Motlow State's Moore County campus is re-introducing the Adult College Express (ACE) program after a pandemic-related hiatus. This program targets non-traditional adult students and makes earning an Associate of Science degree in General Studies possible in seven semesters.

“ACE classes meet one or two times a week so that busy learners can easily fit classes into their schedules. The small classes and close community of students involved in this program create a supportive learning environment that gives students networking and collaboration opportunities to fully prepare them for a smooth transition to a four-year university,” according to Charle Coffey, Director of the ACE Program.

“Students who enroll in ACE take one class at a time so that they can focus on one subject before transitioning to the next,” Coffey added. Motlow makes tutoring resources available to all students in almost every subject for additional learning support. Those who do not have ACT scores can take Motlow’s ACCUPLACER tests so that the College can determine individual student needs and create a personalized plan of success.

If interested, please complete an application for admission at Motlow.edu/apply and submit any previous high school/college transcripts or GED/HiSET scores. Once the application is accepted, you can complete an ACE application in your MyMotlow account, including a brief essay explaining your interest and the names of two references. If you have any previously-earned college credit, you may be eligible to complete ACE in a shorter period of time.

For more information about the program, contact [email protected] or visit motlow.edu/ace. Students eligible for TN Reconnect can enroll in this program free of tuition costs.
