Assistant Coach Promoted to Interim

Motlow State is pleased to announce that former Men’s Basketball Assistant Coach Jade Patrick has stepped into the lead role as Interim Head Coach for the 2024-2025 season. He is excited to connect with Motlow’s surrounding communities and local talent as the program grows.

Patrick is a former Motlow State basketball player who graduated in 2016 and then graduated from Lane College in 2018. He received his master’s degree from Tennessee State University in 2022 while working for the women’s basketball team as the Player Development and Operations Intern. Upon graduation, he worked at Coahoma Community College in Mississippi before returning to Motlow to serve as Assistant Coach.
This season’s men’s basketball team is comprised of 17 students who will play their first game on November 1. Coach Patrick stated, “I’m glad to be back here at Motlow where I played and to be coaching a good group of high-character guys. I’m looking forward to seeing them grow throughout the year and compete at a high level.”
Conference games played at the Motlow Moore County campus this year are:
- November 9: Columbia State at 4 pm
- November 12: Wallace State at 7:30 pm
- November 16: Volunteer State at 4 pm
- November 20: Roane State at 7:30 pm
- December 4: Cleveland State at 7:30 pm
- December 12: Calhoun State (TBD)
- January 18: Dyersburg State at 4 pm
- January 29: Pellissippi State at 7:30 pm
- February 8: Jackson State at 4 pm
- February 15: Southwest State at 4 pm
- February 19: Chattanooga State at 7:30 pm
- February 26: Walters State at 7:30 pm
